Business Improvement Techniques

Business Improvement Technique apprentices will work to support a businesses to become more productive and remain competitive. They will support the business to identify and then deliver continuous and sustainable quality, cost, delivery improvements for existing or new products, processes and/or services.

  • Suitable for staff working as a CNC Operator, Maintenance Operative, Business Analyst, Six Sigma Specialist and also a Process Operator amongst others
  • Available at Levels 2 and 3
  • Entry Requirements
Level 2
Functional Skills

Required Level 1 English and Maths
(unless prior certificate held e.g. GCSE grades
D –E or O-Level)


Employee Rights

All apprentices will undertake a unit of study focused on employee rights and responsibilities


Core Units

* Statutory Regulations and Organisational safety Requirements

* Contributing to effective team working

* Contributing to the application of workplace organisation techniques

* Contributing to the application of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen)

* Contributing to the development of visual management systems

Level 3
Functional Skills
