The Lincolnshire Health and Care Careers Event returns next week!

Posted on 3rd December 2018

The Lincolnshire Talent Academy will be hosting the 2nd Lincolnshire Health and Care Careers Event on 10th December. No other event covers such a wide range of health and care careers and it is the biggest gathering for health and care careers in the county.

The event will be held at the Engine Shed at the University of Lincoln’s Brayford campus between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

It is free to attend and everyone is welcome, it isn’t just for University students or schools. There will be a wide range of careers represented, with over 50 clinical and non-clinical stands. The event will be a great opportunity for anyone considering a career in health and care.

Claire Flavell, the Strategic Lead for the Lincolnshire Talent Academy said that the event is “a tremendous opportunity for everyone to see all of the various careers in Health and Care. It’s the largest gathering of its kind in the County.

It’s bigger than last year and there are more interactive activities than ever before – we have the inclusion of Career Talks as well from representatives from a wide range of careers roles.

We are looking forward to seeing members of the public, schools, colleges, and Universities at the event on December 10th. Feel free to pop down!”

There will be a range of interactive activities for people to try such as resuscitating a dummy, meeting one of the counselling dogs and pet therapy bunnies. The day will be insightful and also as enjoyable as possible.

The event will also provide the opportunity to discover recruitment opportunities, careers advice & guidance and as well as a chance to speak to health and care staff.

This year, the Lincolnshire Talent Academy has added to the successful event in 2017, the organisation has arranged career talks throughout the day from staff from the Health and Care sectors.

Additionally, The University of Lincoln will also be in attendance to discuss the new Lincoln Medical School.
