Due to COVID we are reintroducing a “mini version” of our previous programme in order to support current year 12 students. As such, due to social distancing, we have limited spaces available which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis subject to eligibility criteria being met. We hope to bring back the full programme next year in 2022.

We have a programme for you that will inspire you to follow your career aspirations, highlight the vast opportunities within medicine and help you gain a place on your chosen university course.
The half day programme will provide an insight into the medical profession through a series of structured activities, including:
- Tailored workshops by medical experts
- Students on the programme will also have first offer of consultant shadowing placement, once work experience placements recommence

- Must be intending to apply for a place at Medical School
- Must be living in or educated in Lincolnshire
- Be in Year 12
- Must have the minimum of six GCSE passes at grade 7 or above
(to include English, Maths’s and 2 Science subjects. If applicants are planning on retaking GCSEs to achieve this level, applicants are still eligible to apply, but need to outline this in their application form.)
- Applicants should be predicted to achieve a minimum of B, B, C at A level – Statement required from educational provider.
You must submit the following documentation with this application form: Reference / letter (on headed paper) of support from either your head teacher / head of 6th form / careers teacher stating that they believe you are able to achieve the grades necessary for entry into medical school.
All applications will need to be submitted by 4pm Friday 1st October 2021. Applications received after this time will not be accepted.
We envisage the programme receiving a high level of interest. Therefore, places will be awarded on a first come, first served basis, subject to the placement criteria being met.
Successful candidates will be given first priority on Consultant Shadowing Placements upon recommencement of physical placements.
