At Stamford Day Centre the service offers a variety of in house activity support such as Reminiscence/ Discussion groups, sing-alongs, light exercise to music, charades, memory jogger games,, floor quoits, bean bag target, jigsaw sessions, board games, such as chess/Draughts/Ludo/Connect 4, Computer word games, cooking sessions, live entertainment, Book reading, Group games on the white board such as , play your cards right, Hangman, A – Z challenges, needle craft/knitting, sewing, painting, colouring.
Whilst on placement, individuals will be working as part of a team, under the supervision of a Day Opportunities Coordinator, will participate in supporting customers with Learning/Physical Disabilities, Long Term Conditions or Adult Frailty to reach their full potential and increase their quality of life at home, work and in the community, in line with the Personalisation agenda.
Tasks and duties include:
Providing support to customers to meet their personal care needs, respecting the dignity and privacy of the customer.
Being prepared to work flexibly to meet changing needs of the customers in agreement with senior staff.
Under direction of the Day Opportunities Coordinator and/or Worker assist and support customers to become active members of the community, through social networking, day to day activities and wider friendships.
Work hard to ensure customers are not bullied, abused or harmed...
