The Rochford Unit has 17 beds for female and males providing care and treatment for adults over 65 with a mental health illness (depression, anxiety, bipolar) who are acutely ill. The individual will be working alone side our ACO, and will have an insight into mental health nursing.
Whilst on placement the individual will be working with the ward Activity Co-ordinator (ACO), engaging with older adults with functional illnesses.
Tasks may include:
Helping to develop activity plans with patients under supervision
Organising activities for patients
Taking patients out for walks
Helping with baking and music groups
